The binding shows edgewear, bumped and rubbed corners exposing the flexible boards, and soiling, staining, and scuffing. The upper joint has been strengthened with tape; the rear joint is splitting with frayed edges and an early repair. An AGNM ex-library bookplate is present on the front pastedown. The first and last free endpapers have closed marginal tears and soiling, while the first and last dozen leaves show marginal chipping and closed tears, more pronounced at the front. Pages are generally toned at the edges, with some marginal soiling and a few old ink manuscript notes indicating preferences for particular tools.
