Published Monthly except July and September. 4to. (6.75" x 10") 9 Volumes. 1910-1912. Northfield, Minnesota: Goodsell Observatory of Carleton College. Comprises a black hardback binder with gilt lettering "Popular Astronomy" to upper board and spine. Edgewear, corners rubbed, some through to boards, spine edges with some loss (see pic), board edges with smaller bits of loss. Patterned endpapers. The 9 volumes of Popular Astronomy consist of Vol.XVIII, No.8, October 1910; Vol.XX, No.10, December 1911; Vol.XX, No.1, January 1912; No.2, February 1912; No.3, March 1912, No.4, April 1912; No.5, May 1912; No.8, October 1912; No.9, November 1912. Each with paper wraps and approximately 65 pp./each with black and white photographic plates of astronomical subjects with articles on new discoveries, methods of studying space, taking measurements and more. Paper wraps with soiling, fading, pages with small closed tears and rough edges, folds and dog-ears to some pages. All issues with advertisements, some with indexes to volumes. Prior ownership in pencil to some upper wraps.
