"Annals of Aberdeen, From the Reign of King William the Lion, to the End of the Year 1818; With an Account of the City, Cathedral, and University of Old Aberdeen" by William Kennedy, published in London in 1818. This two-volume history chronicles Aberdeen from the reign of William the Lion through the early nineteenth century, with additional accounts of the city’s cathedral and the University of Old Aberdeen. The set includes a folding plate depicting the seals of William the Lion.

Quarto (8.75" x 11.25"). Two volumes, complete. Bound in contemporary cloth spines over brown boards, with lettered paper spine labels. Both volumes show edgewear and bumped, rubbed corners. Each bears a bookplate to the front pastedown, and the first free endpaper of each volume has a neat prior-owner inscription in old ink. Light foxing appears on some pages, but the text is relatively clean. The folding plate of seals is present.

An appealing antiquarian set for collectors of Scottish history, Aberdeen heritage, medieval Scotland, and the history of Scottish universities and ecclesiastical institutions.
