"Quicker Than the Eye: The Magic and Magicians of the World" by John Mulholland, stated First Edition, published in New York by The Junior Literary Guild in 1932. An 8vo volume (5.75" x 8.25"), 259 pages, bound in full light green cloth with red and blue lettering and decoration to the upper board and blue lettering to the spine. Dust jacket lacking.

Illustrated with a color frontispiece and two additional drawings by Cyrus Leroy Baldridge, along with several simple illustrations appearing at the beginning of each chapter. A three-line ink gift inscription and Christmas sticker dated 1942 are found on the first free endpaper.

Condition includes edgewear, bumped and rubbed corners, a ruffled spine head and foot with slight loss of color, a light scratch to the upper board, light soiling to the rear board, and a lightly sun-darkened spine. An appealing early 20th-century book exploring the history, methods, and personalities of magic and magicians, with attractive period illustrations.
