"Walden; or, Life in the Woods" by Henry David Thoreau, published in 1981 by Easton Press in Norwalk, Connecticut. An attractive 8vo volume (5.375" x 7.25") bound in full dark burgundy leather with gilt decoration to the covers, a hubbed spine with gilt decoration, all edges gilt, and pink moiré endpapers. Includes a frontispiece depicting Henry David Thoreau.

Multiple groups of pages show mild dog-earing: 119–124, 184–194, and 275–304. Otherwise, this handsome leather-bound edition presents Thoreau's influential work on nature, solitude, self-reliance, and life at Walden Pond in a particularly collectible Easton Press format.
