- 12mo.(4" x 6.75") Full green polished calf with fancy and single gilt rule with floral corners framing covers, fncy gilt rule to board edges. Spine with gilt title to gilt framed red leather towards head, all over heavy gilt decoration to rest of spine. Gold printed endpapers, all edge gilt. Fore-edge painting of a group of homes with a castle in background. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed with tiny loss. Rubbing to joints, head and foot of spine. Small stains to rear cover (see pic). A pretty book with a beautiful fore-edge painting hidden under the gilt. Two engravings, engraved frontispiece and engraved title page.
