Marbled endpaper. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, most through to boards. Head and foot of spines chipped with small loss, spine itself with small chips and scuffing, boards rubbed, scuffed. First free endpaper to Vol.III detached, laid in. A few pages with marginal tears and/or small loss to corners, none seen affecting text. Illustrated with 13 engraved plates, 2 folding charts. Errata at end of third volume. A very scarce set of books to find complete in any condition, this set with all plates and charts as called for is incredible.
