- 8vo. (5.5" x 8.5") Quarter red pebbled leather with generous tip on green marble boards and matching marble endpapers. Top edge gilt with remaining edges deckled. Spine with 5 flat bands with stamped dark rule edges. 2nd and 4th compartments have square gilt rule around set title and volume content, volume #. Floral medallean centered in the 4 remaining compartments.

12mo.(4.5" x 7.125") Six volumes complete. Half tan polished calf with generous corners over marbled boards, bright gilt rule to all leather edges. Spine with five gilt decorated raised bands, gilt title to red leather in second compartment, gilt author/vol# to brown leather in fourth compartment, all others with fancy gilt rule frames and centered floral gilt device, fancy gilt rule to head and foot of spine. Top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, some tips rubbed through. Head of volumes I, VI, with small chips, tiny loss. Leather to spine labels on Vols. I, IV, and VI chipped and/or lacking, three labels total (see pic). Vols. II, IV, and VI with small white stickers to the first free flyleaf. Leather to covers lightly scuffed to Vol.I. Overall, a nice-looking set of books. Each volume is illustrated with an engraved frontispiece.
