Cuba Ilustrada: La Real Comisión de Guantanamo: 1796-1802. Translated from Spanish: Illustrated Cuba: The Royal Commission of Guantánamo. Edition on the occasion of the Fifth Centennial and dedicated to the "Expedition of the Count of Mopox to the island of Cuba".

4to.(9.5" x 10.875") 2 volumes. 1991. Lunwerg S.A.: Centro de Estudios y Experimentación de Obras Publicas. Full green publishers cloth with dark green title and illustration of Cuba to front covers. Spine with title/dates stamped in dark green. Slipcase similarly decorated to front. Vol.I covers the land, the people, their history, with photographs of maps, documents, and engravings of insects. Vol.II covers the botany of the island, having 66+ full page plates photographed from "Drawings of Plants of The Yisla of Cuba", originally printed in 1802. Minor foxing to front and rear pages text appears fine. Small bit of dampstain to the lower spine and covers at foot of each book, not affecting text or plates. Slipcover similarly damp-stained with some other slight stains as well. We have multiple copies of this set of books and the best examples will be sent with the first orders we receive.
