Spine with five gilt decorated raised bands, gilt lettering to second and third compartments, single gilt arabesque device to all others. Marbled endpapers, all edges marbled. Virtually no edgewear, but spine heavily sun-faded to a dull tan, still with bright gilt. Prize certificate to front pastedown from Oxford Local Examinations. Illustrated with colored frontispiece
